VITAL RECORDS
MARRIAGE LICENSE

Couples who file their marriage intentions in Newbury will be on file in this office.  Often times a certified copy of their marriage is needed for insurance purposes, health insurance policies, Social Security benefits, pension benefits, Veteran's benefits, credit accounts, bank accounts as well as name changes at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, etc.  

BIRTHS

Birth records of children whose parents resided in Newbury at the time of the child's birth, as well as children physically born in the Town, will be on file in this office.

DEATHS

Death certificates are filed in this office for any person who physically died in Newbury, or for those who died elsewhere in Massachusetts and whose legal residence at the time of their death is listed as a resident of Newbury.   

CERTIFIED COPIES

Certified copies are available for the above vital records. There is a $10.00 fee per certified copy.  Fee is payable upon request.  If requesting by mail, the correct fee along with a stamped self-addressed envelope must be included. If requesting by e-mail, please include a contact phone number.
